Isaiah 43

Reading Isaiah 43 has brought me to tears a lot of times. This was the chapter, the Lord brought me to share to my late father who was so sick at that time and was supposed to go for operation in Manila. My father couldn't talk anymore at that time since he already lost his voice box from cancer. But when I read this verses out to him on the phone, I could hear him crying on the other side. I will never forget that time.

Then after the flood  we've experienced in 2009, I was brought back to this Chapter. and then in 2011. And just the other day I read the verses in this chapter again and  these specific verse brought me to tears.

Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
    and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life.
Isaiah 43:4

It's  a wonderful promise of love from God to us. As I meditated this verse, I was reminded that this verse was addressed to the Israelites. They were truly not the model people for sure. They were stubborn, they rebelled against God, they were unfaithful and even worshiped other Gods.. but what did God say? He said that they are PRECIOUS and HONORED in His sight. They surely don't deserve such honor and love.. but God is truly a God of Grace and LOVE.. it's just amazing and unfathomable.... And that's the same love that God is giving us now. He doesn't love us because we are good nor we are worthy.. we will never reach God's standard of perfection and worth on our own strength.. but God loves us because He is a God of Love and Grace... Oh, God's love is just amazing and I'm so grateful to serve a God who loves us so much. ...why don't we just receive this love from God right now?
