It's Cold Brrr....

It has always been raining here and thereofre it's quite cold especially in the mornings. Our shower knob is also broken which means we couldn't use our water heater when we take our shower. Brrr.... Actually, I'm not so fond of using water heaters but because the water here is too cold, it'll be good to use one.

I think we have to ask someone to repair our shower knob ASAP. This is the only thing that's broken for now while all the rest like our kitchen faucets and other stuff are st.ill in good condition.

BFF or FBF??

Meet Tricia's Best Buddy or BFF ( Best Friend Forever) in Thailand. He's 5 years old and really our girl's great friend. Our Girl has such a strong personality and has fought with almost all the kids except this boy.

Justify FullI took this picture (a few days before leaving Thailand) while they were playing. Later, when I asked our girl what they were playing, she told me that they were pretending to be Cheetahs. She's the Mama Cheetah , David's the Papa Cheetah and they were looking for their baby Cheetahs. I can't help but smile when she told me that.

Then a few weeks later, I chatted with my Hubby and he related a conversation that David had with his mom. It went something like this:

David: Ma, when I grow older, will Tricia go older too?
Mom: Yes.
David: But when we grow older, Tricia will still be smaller than me right?
Mom: Yes.
David: When we grow older, can I become a Papa, Tricia a Mama and we will have children?

I don't know anymore how David's mom reacted but when my hubby related this incident to me I couldn't help but be amused. But later on , I also got scared..hhaahaah! I mean, reality has struck that days and years will go by fast and our girl wont be a baby anymore.

So, will Tricia's BFF become her FBF ( future boy friend) ? Hhahaha! I don't know. It's too early to tell but not too early to start praying for God to prepare the best man for her in the future and let her be the person God wants her to be.

1 Year Break Soon To Come

Hotel-view01-old
A few more weeks to go and our one year break as a family is going to start! Yippee!! We're so excited!

It would be great if the one year break would be a one year vacation touring around different countries but I guess that will all remain in our dreams. :) But anyways, let me continue to dream and wish that I would be able to set foot on the Casco Antiguo Region of Panama.

What's so special about this place you may ask? This is a rich historic district located in the southwest of the city on a small peninsula. The neighborhood is included on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Here you can see the Panama Canal Museum, art galleries, indigenous boutiques, trendy restaurants with world renowned chefs, intimate sidewalk cafes, and popular nightspots.

In addition to that, it'll be good to see and stay in Hotel Casco Antiguo a condo hotel in the region. Upon its completion, the restored Hotel Casco Antiguo will be a condominium-hotel with 34 rooms and a full complement of amenities. I'm sure this is only for the richie rich people, so if you're one of them, then you might be interested in registering to purchase at the condo hotel. If you're interested then Register for an eBrochure Here .

Jesus Makes A Difference

This is the song finale that our Li'l girl sang with her schoolmates during their UN Celebration. She just loves this song and sings it from time to time even if its already days after their performance.

Our Li'l girl was Ms. Nepal for that celebration and I guess the lyrics of the song has really struck through her heart. The chorus of the song goes like this ;
Say His Name, Jesus
Worship Him, Jesus
Jesus makes a difference in the World

And once after singing the chorus, she stopped for awhile, thought of something and said, " Jesus makes a difference in Nepal, Amma!" Which was so true! It's only Jesus who can make a difference in Nepal and all over the World.

Below is a video of their presentation:

Weather, Weather

It has always been raining here in our place for many days now. I don't know if this is the reason for our broadband connection being disconnected from time to time. But our cable tv does get disconnected often too and gives us ' bad or no signal'.

I guess this is one disadvantage of using satellites or wireless connections huh? But It's still a good thing for us though because our house is far from the city center and I guess we can't be reached by cables or telephone wires and stuff. That's why, wireless routers are good for us too and speaking of routers and all these hardware stuff, you can now buy used cisco routers and switches for a cheap price.

But on the other hand, I still like the rain because it's always cool here in our house. I like it when it's cold.

Tricia's Brazilian Dance

Last week has indeed been a breakthrough week for our Li'l girl! Aside from going to a 'real' school for the first time. She also had a chance to participate in the UN ( United Nations) Celebration in their school.

I knew beforehand that the students are supposed to to presentations during the said celebration but I was just trying to 'listen' to my daughter whether she's prepared to join the presentations or not. It was her first week in school and I was afraid that it might be too much for her to be on the stage. So, I didn't ask her nor pressure her to join. But then I was surprised when her teacher told me that she agreed to do the 'fashion show' or introduction of countries. And when I sat in their class for awhile, I saw her practiced the dance.

So, here is the Brazilian dance that they performed. Wow! praise God for the breakthrough, she wasn't shy at all but was smiling all the way!! I'll attach the other videos later.

Fish Diet Broken

I've just posted that we've been eating fish and healthy food for many weeks now. But it's quite amusing, that right after I've written that post, I went back to being a carnivore and fastfood eater again. Hehehe! We've been going out quite a lot this week and once you're out, you can't help but eat at fastfoods and meat. Hmm.. And I thought I was on my way to being healthy. So, I guess for now, I need to avoid eating out because that'll be the greatest temptation for me. I want to lose weight and I also don't want to resort to diet pills like Trimspa even though many people say it's safe and fast.

This Is The Way We Go to School

Tricia has completed her first week in school and we survived! We were not able to miss a single class at all. Our house is a bit far from her school and everyday is quite a challenge just to reach our destination.

How do we go to school? We walk to our main gate and then if we see a pedicab or we call it as Trisikad at the Daycare Center near our house and then we ride one. Then we go all the way to the main road and wait for a jeepney or multicab until we reach the city center. From the city center we ride a 'motorela' or Tricycle all the way to Nazareth where Tricia's school is located. All these travel and commuting takes about 30 minutes to 45 minutes.

So, that's why Tricia once asked me, " Why did they make my school so far away?" Poor her, she's always excited to go to school and waiting to arrive her destination must be so difficult for her.

On 1 Peso Roll Back and Future Business

Thank God for the lowering down of gas price by 1 peso per liter. Even if it may only be 1 peso per liter but I’m sure this 1 peso will be helpful for everyone.

As everyone may have noticed, prices have really rose up! Just this afternoon, we went to buy some supplies at the grocery store and I was surprised that with only a small tin can of milk, 12 pcs of diapers, small refill pack of Tricia’s milk, hair conditioner and 10 packets of 3-1 coffee, everything has totaled to almost 700 pesos. I could remember that 700 pesos a few years back could go a long way but not during these times of financial crisis.

I guess it’s about time to think of some home based business . I’m thinking of baking cakes and goodies to be sold for Christmas. These are just some of my thoughts and I need to talk to my ‘business partner’, my sis. But if you’re interested to make some orders, maybe you can contact us and we can be more motivated to start off. Hheheeh!!

Enjoying School

My Li'l girl truly enjoyed school since Day1. Now, she wakes up early for school so fresh and happy! You see, our girl sleeps quite late and waking up early in the morning would be quite a struggle. But since she has been going to school, even if sometimes she sleeps so late, it's no longer a struggle waking her up since she's very excited to get up!

I'm also very excited for her! I'm sure she will learn many things in school, not just the academic aspect but most importantly socializing and relating to different children. She's been alone all the while when we were in Thailand so, things like "taking turns" and being 'refused by other kids" are quite new to her.

I'm thankful to God for this privilege for her to be in a real school and I really see that she's enjoying every moment of it. Now, I'm not sure how it'll be when it's time for us to leave again. I'm sure it'll be a very sad time for her. But anyways, let me not think about that yet but relish our days here in the Philippines.

The 'shy' Tricia being introduced to her classmates..

Interpretative Song Practice for their UN Celebration

Fish Versus Meat

My food intake here has been quite different when I was in Thailand. Our family here has been more health conscious now which is a very good thing for me since my blood tests showed that I have a high level of cholesterol. So, here we have been eating a lot of fish which has been an exact opposite when I was in Thailand where I could go for months without eating fish. Yes, I know, that must have explained my high cholesterol.

Anyways, now I just need to add more oatmeal, veggies and fruits in my diet and I’m pretty sure my cholesterol level would go down. ..And I’m keeping my finger crossed that my weight would follow too. If so, I would need to think of resorting to effective diet pills to lose weight . I’m sure with more discipline and motivation, I’ll be naturally healthy, fit and trim.

1st Day of School

Last Tuesday was Tricia’s first day of school!! Praise God that she was finally able to go to a real school after a bit of “home school’ while we were in Thailand. Of course, our girl was excited. It wasn’t a struggle at all waking her up early on Tuesday morning. But still, we came in late as going out from the ‘deep forest’ is a bit of a struggle without transport.

She’s currently going to Little Evangel’s Christian School in Nazareth. It’s a small school where she only had about 10 cute classmates. The teacher welcomed her, brought her in front and introduced her to her classmates. For the first time, I saw my girl ‘ blushed’. She was so shy to talk to them to even say HI.

Since we were already late, they already finished their lessons and it was time for them to practice for ther dance presentation for the UN Celebration this Satuday. Surprisingly, our Lil girl joined the practice. She danced joyfully with her eyes sparkling with excitement. She was still a bit shy with her new found friends and she even just sat still on her chair while the other were already busy and active. Huh? Doesn’t sound like my girl huh?

Anyways, she truly enjoyed her school and when we asked her if she wants to come back for school the next time, I heard a very definite “Yes!”.

Photos to follow soon..

The Blogger is Back

I’m back after a few days of absence from this blog. I haven’t been away. I was just quite busy with things and updating my other blogs too. I have very limited time to blog these days since my daughter is already in school and my son’s constantly seeking my attention. So, the only ‘free’ time I’ve got is at night when everyone's asleep and I try to finish up my pending tasks. But I guess, finishing my tasks will continue to be a challenge for me since my internet connection constantly gets disconnected.

How I wish I know everything about computers and internet so I could easily solve my current dilemma. But I guess there’s no hope for me to be a techie girl since I’m not that knowledgeable enough on this aspect. Imagine, I don’t even know what’s an HDMI switch is. I had to search it through wikipedia and even after reading about it, I still don't know what it is and it still sounds so foreign to me. Poor, low tech me!

Missing Appa!

Tricia is extremely enjoying her time here in the Philippines. She has completely lost her separation anxiety as she goes around the compound with her cousins and even goes to her other Lola's house which is quite far away from our home.

She's always busy playing, watching cartoons, talking or fighting with her cousins..hehehe! I thought that she's enjoying too much and won't have the time to miss her Appa. But I was proven wrong. Last night, before going to sleep, she hugged me so tight and said, " Amma, I miss Appa!". And she also prays for God every morning and night to protect her Appa . She knows that Appa is only coming on December 15 but I'm sure she doesn't have any idea how that is going to be.

We are indeed looking forward for that reunion. Our only comfort is knowing that after Decemebr 15, we are all going to have a 1 year holiday! :)

Excited For Church!

It's already Friday now, which means to more days and we are going to our homechurch. I've been going to a Thai church in Thailand which offers a little bit of translation for the expatriates but it's really different worshiping at your own homechurch, singing songs that you can expertly sing along and listening to messages that you can fully comprehend. OUr church is currenlty worshipping inside the hotel and soon to move to our own church building as soon as construction is already completed.

It would also be cool for our church to be inside a theater. I've experienced this before when I was in Manila and we visited the Victory Christian Fellowship where they were worshipping in a theater. It was a great experience as the venue is so wide and comfortable. In the US, Find out more on the first-ever inaugural Theatre Church Conference in Silver Spring, MD on October 22 & 23. If you haven't experienced worshipping in a Theatre Church yet, then maybe you can Find out more about it and try it out.

But however, wherever our church worships, whether in a hotel, church buidling or theater, what is most important is the we worship God with all of our hearts in spirit and in truth.

A Snake In the House?!

While I was checking my mails inside my mother's room. I heard our house helper scream. I hurriedly went out and she said, she saw a snake from the outside that came in but she was not sure if the snake was able to go out again. Oh no!! For a few minutes we checked our dining area but it seems the snake isn't there anymore. I hope and pray so.

I'm not also sure what kind of snake she saw but the fact is, even if its poisonous or not it's still a snake! I think it's time to cut all the tall grasses now surrounding our compound. It's really quite dangerous as our daughter and her cousins go from house to house.

Oh, I thank God for His protection and keeping us from harm.

Of Traveling, Painful Feet and Shoes

We had a good but tiring trip from Hatyai-Bangkok-Manila to Cagayan de Oro last week. One very tiring thing about the trip was that I had a heavy hand carry bag bringing all my kids milk bottles with water, milk, diapers and etc. I brought two kids with me, so I made sure that they have enough bottles for the whole day. Then, during the travel, I carried my hand bag and either be carrying my 11 month old son or 4 year old daughter. Our flight was at 12:20am so, my kids are still groggy and sleepy andmy daughter doesn't want to walk to the immigration counter, customs and etc.

It would have been great if I wore comfortable shoes like Blowfish Shoes and ready to walk kilometers to the boarding area with a child on one arm and a handcarry bag on the other hand but then I made a big mistake when I chose to wear my 99 baht shoes! It was a fight between beauty and comfort. Of course, my feet looked beautiful with my tangerine, glittery shoes but then it hurt my feet so bad if I stood and walked for a long time. And if you've been to Suvarnabhumi Airport, you can imagine the distance from the check-in counters to the boarding gates.

Anyways, it's already too late to regret. Next time I'll have to get comfy shoes when I travel. I think Men's Blowfish Shoes and Women's Blowfish Shoes would be very comfortable.

Tricia's Great Experiences

When we were on our way out to the city this afternoon, we didn't have any transport to go out. So, my mom and I plus the children walked out of our compound and was met by our cousin at the gate who has a 'Trisikad' ( Tricycle).

Tricia wore a skirt and while we were walking she was complaining that the grasses are itchy. She looked around and saw all the tall grasses and trees, then said, " This is fun! We are in the deep forest!". She was so excited and was happily hopping to the gate when he saw a goat. She looked at the goat for a long time and ask, " Can I touch the goat please?". Who couldn't resist this 'ignorant' city girl? heheh! So, I said yes and she was so happy with her eyes sparkling even as she rode the 'trisikad'. It was not really her first time to experience all these since we were here 2 years ago, but I guess she has grown up and she appreciates all these simple pleasures in life all the more.

I'm also glad that we came back home. Even if I'm struggling a bit without my HUbby but my girl is very happy. She always keep on repeating, " I'm happy to be here in the Philippines, Amma!" and not only that, everything here seems to be very beautiful, even our small, almost deteriorating house, her Granny's room, her cousin's house and etc.

Properties For Sale

As I'm writing this blog entry of mine, the picture above is the exact image I can see from my window. It's good to be back home, to be with family and stay in our humble abode near the river.

The mornings here are fresh, cool and very pleasant. All day long you can hear the rushing of the river and feel the soft wind on your face. There is indeed no place like home and I just love this place so much, Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City , Philippines.

If you're interested, you can even take a look and visit our place. If you like it, we are also selling some residential lots, though the one we're selling are not near the riverside.

If you happen to be in US and want to build a house near the lake . I heard that there are Minnesota Lake Properties . If you're on the adventurous side you can also take a look at their RV lots for sale. I just remembered the movie I saw about the family on an RV trip. The places where they went were really beautiful. Anyways, if you want to acquire some Lakeshore Property in the US then check this out.

But if you're from the Philippines and are interested to acquire Balulang Lots, the contact me. :)

Good Bye Thailand!

The reality that our family will be away from Thailand for a year is slowly sinking in now. There was not much emotions expressed during the time when we were leaving Thailand since I was excited to be back home and at the same time sad that I won't be seeing my Hubby for 68 days.

Now, that I'm here in our house, hearing the rushing sound of the river, made realize that I won't be seeing our 'home' for more than a year. I won't be able to go those places which we use to go to, see those familiar faces for 6 years, meet up with our friends who live there and so on. I wasn't even able to say good bye to our neighbors and some of our friends since we were busy unpacking from our Malaysia trip and packing for Philippines trip. It's good that we were able to have a small birthday party for Lyle last week and I was able to meet some friends and say good bye to them.

I will surely miss Thailand, our friends, the people, the food and the place. See you all again in December 2009!

God bless Thailand!!

Only now, the feeling of missing

Mabuhay Philippines!!

My Kids and I are in the Philippines right now! We came earlier as planned to surprise my Mom and join her 68th birthday celebration.

Oh, I have so many things in mind to blog right now. But I can't blog everything in a single post, so let me start of with our travel.

It was indeed a tiring trip. We got into 3 different airplanes, steped into 4 different airports, checked in our baggages 3 times and had a 7 hours waiting time. And imagine traveling this long with 2 kids in tow. Wow! it was really tiring!

I only had one handcarry bag but all the kids milk bottles, milk, water, extra clothes, diapers and etc were there. So, you can imagine how heavy that would be. Plus 2 kids who want to be carried all the way to the boarding gate. Good that our friend was there so we could take turns in carrying the kids or pushing the stroller.

Suvanabhumi Airport is just HUGE and walkalators are limited. So, even if you're carrying something light, it'll still cause your arms to be painful especially if your boarding gate is at the end of the building.

We spent several hours at NAIA Airport waiting for our last flight. Though it's already operational but is still far from being completed. They only had a handful of shops and some parts of the buidling were still closed. BUT they had very comfortable seats and airconditioning and that has made our waiting time a bit more pleasant.

Our flight to Cagayan de oro City was fun too. We rode Cebu Pacific and they had some fun games and prizes during the flight. One great surprise was that they are now selling some items like sunglasses, shirts, toys, keychains on board too. But if you want to buy eyeglasses, better try to buy online with a variety of choices. There are cheap prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses available at Zenni for as low as 8 $.

Anyways, after almost 24 hrs travel, we finally reached our destination, the City of Golden friendship! :) Thank God for a safe arrival and thank God for our friend who helped me a lot during our trip.

A Birthday Greeting to my Precious Nanay

Today marks the 68 years of my mother who we call as Nanay. My Mom is one of the most generous mom in the whole world. She is not only precious to us but to all our cousins, nieces, nephews and church members. She is actually the mother of ALL. She has the heart to help and bless others through her life. Though she's the shy and reserved type of person but she never says no when it comes to serving God through exhortation of the word.

In all my life, I've never heard her talk ill of anyone. She has such a heart of understanding and grace. Though very refined and 'mahinhin' yet she is strong in her emotions and especially in her faith in God. She loves all her children dearly and only wants the best for all of us yet gives us enough space and freedom to learn things on our own.

Now, who can ever find such a mother like this? That's why I praise and thank God for giving me such a loving, special and wonderful mother.

Thank you so much Nay for all the things you are to us... for all the things you've done for us ..for all your love and sacrifice for us to be who we are right now.

Thank you..thank you..thank you sooo much and we LOVE you!!

May you have a blessed 68th birthday today!! Enjoy your day and may this day be filled with so much of blessings and surprises!

My FavoriteThai Dishes Part 2

continued...

4)
Thai Stir fried crab curry or Poo Phad Pong Kali

I personally love crabs and there's no better way to cook them but with curry. It makes you want to savor every bit of the crab, even the shells.

5) Thai Fried Rice or Khaw Phat

If you're not into spicy stuff, the Thai Fried rice will work best for you. Thai fried rice has different variations from Fried rice chicken (
Khaw phat kai) , fried rice beef ( khaw phat Nua), fried rice seafood ( khaw phat thale') and veggies (phak) , every dish is a must try for everyone.

6)
Thai Cashew Nut Chicken or (Kai phat phet ma muang)

This is another dish I can recommend for those who can not take spicy food. It's made of chicken with cashew nuts, mushrooms a lotof onions and sometimes with dried chillies.

..to be continued...

yes, I'm not finished with this Thai food sequel yet...there's just so much of delicious dishes .

Reminiscing the Teenage Years

When I was in my teenage years, my biggest problem was my pimples. I had very oily face and with the dust in our hometown, it's really ground for pimples. I never found the best acne treatment at that time. As my age increased, I don't have much pimples anymore but now my problems are the scars left behind by my pimple years. :)

My FavoriteThai Dishes Part 1

Thailand is known to have delicious cuisine. Wherever you go , may it be in the posh restaurant downtown or even to the simplest hawker shop on the road, you'll be assured to savor the best of Thai food.

Here is a list of my favorite THai Dishes. If you happen to visit Thailand. I recommend you to try them.

* Warning: Living in Thailand for 6 years had made my tongue accustomed to spicy food. So, some dishes here may be too spicy for you..but you could always give it a try or tell the 'cook' or waiter/waitress not to make it too spicy.

1) Tomyum Goong ('kung') or Tom Yum Thale

I'm sure you've heard of this dish that is known all over the world. It's a soup that has all the mixture of tastes, spicy, sour, sweet and a bit salty. It's made of prawns ('kung), and sometimes mixed seafood ( 'thale') , kaffir lime leaves and a whole other bunch of ingredients. It is said to have a lot of health benefits too as it has a lot of hers and spices. You can also order it with or without the coconut milk and 'prik' tomyum paste.

2) Thai Green Curry

If you're into curry stuff, I'm sure this will work well with you. It's made of green curry paste, coconut milk, Thai eggplants ( which are rounded) and other ingredients. This Curry is usually served with rice or ' Khanon Jin' or what we just simply call the Thai white spaghetti.

3) Yam Pla Dook Foo or Thai Catfish Salad

This is made of shredded Catfish, green mangoes, peanuts or cashew nuts, chilli and other ingredients. It's a blend of spicy , sour and salty taste. Spicy from the chillies, sour from the shredded green mangoes, salty from the fish sauce and shredded fish. This is truly delicious!

Missing Home 2

I'm missing home again and can't wait for our time to go back home and be with our family. I miss our little house beside the river. For me, it's the perfect setting for our family for a holiday and to relax. If we could only improve and renovate our house a bit, it'll be PERFECT, it'll be like Wilmington NC real estate. :)

1001 Ways to Connect With Your Kids

We found another great book when we went to our organization's office, it's written James R. Lucas entitled, 1001 Ways to Connect with your Kids.

I really find it very important to connect with our kids that's why even if I already have a lot of books in line for me to read, I couldn't resist but buy the book too. I just scanned through it and I find the ways very creative, simple and very helpful for parents to build lasting relationship with their kids.

Here are some of the ways to connect with your kids:

1) You're the Best - Three simple words: "You're the best". Said often enough and without elaboration or explanation, these words can build a mountain of self-worth for your children- and it will be hard for them not to love somebody who makes them feel good. Best at what? being who they were designed to be. And these words are so much better that " You're better than____." the fatal disease of competition.

2) Enough is Enough - If you want your words to have more value, use fewer of them. It's supply and demand. " The more words, the less meaning, and how does that profit anyone?" ( Eccles. 6:11). If you want your words to " stick", it quality, not quantity, that does the trick. Kids remember sentences, not essays.

3) Leave a Note- Be there even when you're not there. Leave a note for your child to find in the morning, on his bed or on the floor by his door. As he climbs out of his sleep and dreams, your child will awaken to a little portion of love. And it's better for him than coffee.

... I'm excited to read through and apply the 1001 ways in the book. I know these are lifelong ways to build so to have closer relationship with my kids and as they grow older, I will not just be a Mom for them but a friend as well.

What's Your Message?

If there is a message that you want hundreds or thousands of people to hear, what would that message be? Think.. think.. think..

As for me, I would want to share the most important message of all and that is to have faith in Jesus, the Son of God, who came on earth, lived a perfect life, died for our sins and rose again for us to have eternal life. It may sound like a very simple message but a lot of people find it so difficult to believe.

Anyways, I just thought about this question, because I just found out about voice broadcasting. If you're like me who has never heard of this term. Voice Broadcasting is a new technique in mass communication where a voice messages can be broadcast to hundreds and thousand of people at once. That's why, I was thinking, if I would use this technologyI would like to send the most important message of all to hundreds and thousands of people. But for the businessmen, politicians and marketers, it can be a very important tool for them to create sales, win an office or get a voice broadcasting leads. It's amazing how high technology can be of good use to everyone.

Shahrukh Khan Jr.

Guess who's this Indian boy wearing a Jippa? He's the Shahrukh Khan Jr. in the making..heheh! Just kidding! For those who are not familiar with Bollywood movies, Shahrukh Khan is one of the famous actor in India.

Anways, this boy here is no other than my 11 month old baby. It's his first time wearing an Indian Jippa that's why everything is documented and blogged here. As a stage mom speaking, I really think that my boy looks so cute with his Indian attire! :)

And see this , he's surrounded by the pretty indian girls.. These photos were taken before we attended the Centennial celebration of the TMC, Klang Church. And I couldn't count how many people cuddled and carried our Li'l Boy. He goes to anyone who wants to carry him that's why I need to always keep track on his whereabouts. I guess he also got tired after that function because he got sick and had fever the day after. :( As printed on one of Lyle's shirt: " It's not easy to be cute and cuddly".. hehehe!

The Cheapest Computers in Malaysia

After seeing that cheap notebook in Carrefour ( Thailand) , we were tempted to look for that same model of notebook here in Malaysia. We were so sure that that brand and model would be cheaper. Then, we asked our friend and he confirmed that indeed it’s cheaper BUT the notebook uses a different OS called Linux and it will be difficult to use. I’m not so familiar with all these but I guess he is right. So , that further confirmed that it’s not time for me to have my own laptop yet that was the only computer within our budget.

But if ever I’m going to buy one, I will have to wait for the Malaysia’s PC Fair as they would really have the cheapest laptops, desktops , computer gadgets, Mac memory, flash drives and etc. This Fair is held once a year in KL, Penang and other major cities. Another place that we know to buy cheap computers is Low Yat Plaza in the Bintang Area in Kuala Lumpur. In these places , you can get to bargain for the prices and even get free stuff if you ask. There was once our friend bought a laptop and desktop and got a printer, scanner, thumb drives and etc for free! Great HUH!

The Strive for Being Healthy

I just got my results for my general check up last week. I praise God that all the other major diseases turned out to be negative. But there is one very 'surprising' find during that test. My blood test shows that I have a high level of cholesterol. Woah! I never expected to have this finding at this age. I only thought old people has this problem. But I guess this serves as a warning for me to be really mindful of my food intake. I admit, I eat a lot of meats, oil, processed food since I especially love fastfood. So, I guess it's about time for me to slowly say "no" to all these things.

Who know, only then I'll lose all these excess fats and weight. Now my primary aim in watching my food is not lose weight but to be healthy and avoid heart problems in the future. I guess, only then I won't binge but slowly change my eating habits until eating healthy food, fruits and veggies becomes a part of my lifestyle. Oh, I have to do this!

No wonder, my reading for the past days was about, our bodies being the temple of the Holy Spirit.. so, I better take care of it to glorify God further. Wow, I never saw this clearly than now. Okay, this marks the beginning of a new healthy me.. I have to start now... So, my friends if you see me lavishly enjoying a Big Mac meal with LArge Fries and Coke.. please do remind me to take care of my health. hehehe!
