New York! New York!

I love the city. I love to see a lot of sights and hear a lot of sounds, see tall and beautifully designed buildings and shopping malls. I think I will never get bored in the city. So, if I were to be moved to a different city as a part of the Witness protection program, I would choose New York. It's also cool to go a peaceful, quite city but maybe just for a visit but the hustle and bustle of the city creates a lot of excitement and energy for me.

You might be wondering why I'm talking about being in the witness protection program. It's because I'm so into the USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight at this time. It's an all new crime drama series where it involves a U.S. Marshal, Mary Shanon attached to the Federal Witness Protection Program. I can't say much for now to keep the suspense. Better wait for another day and watch the first telecast tomorrow ( June 1) on your TVs.

Thailand in Brief

photo from The Nation

I didn't know until this morning about Thailand's political situation. Due to my blogging activities, I haven't really been reading the news lately..not good huh? Too busy checking and writing opps...heheh!

Anyway, it was our friend who told us of the demonstration in Bangkok and the possibility of enforcing violence from the authorities if they refuse to budge or disperse. If this happens, then there'll be political instability that may affect the economy and therefore the rise of prices. When we talked with him, he really sounded so worried especially some of his family members are in Bangkok.

From now on, I'll get back to read the news and get updated with the country's (and even the world's) news. This will somehow inform me of what's happening in this part of the world and keep me in my knees to pray for God's peace and rule in this country.

Warm Night and Cold Ice Cream

Imixamerica

It's a warm night in here now. The Thai Summer has already passed but I could still feel the heat. It's nice to drink something cold or eat a yummy ice cream like the picture shown above ( that would even be better). Looking at the photo makes me crave for an ice cream..I better call my Hubby and ask him to buy one for me.

There's actually an ice cream creation contest going on now where your kids can get to make your own signature creation and get their friends to buy it. It's quite an interesting ice cream contest. It's not the typical ice cream eating contest I've known and joined when I was just a kid.

It's quite simple to join the Awesome Cold Stone Contest . Each contestant must be 13-19 years old. They've got to come up with their own Creation using the ingredients found at any Cold Stone Creamery, give it a clever name then, they let their friends and family try their creation and have them vote online. It's a fun contest and not to mention that the grand prize winner wins up to $30,000 worth of prizes! If only I could still join...then I could eat my delicious creation and have a taste of the others creation too.

Hmmm...back to real life..when is my Hubby and ice cream coming?...can't wait to eat one now.

Mary, Mary Quite Contrary

Remember in my last post I talked about Mary from the new TV series in the US? Do you want to know how she looks like? Then, try to look for her here in my blog, she's hidden, In Plain Sight.

Well, have you seen here? That's Mary. The US Marshal attached to the highly secretive Federal Witness Protection Program from USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight . This is an all new crime drama series that's coming this June. I read a review about this series and it's described as "...suspenseful and witty, and it looks great. ...my favorite type of TV hero. ...a worthy successor to last summer's USA Network hit Burn Notice." (Matt Roush, TV Guide). Intrigued? Then watch it this Sunday!

Yipeee!!

I just had a chat with my brother and sis-in law and they said they're planning to come here this August to visit us. Yippee! I'm so excited! I'll be able to see their beautiful kids and our kids will get to have playmates too for 3 weeks. Tonight, I'll be busy planning our activities for 3 weeks. But it's not really a very difficult job to do..we'll just have to got the malls and we'll all be very happy! eehehehhe

Now there, I blogged about it, to my dear brother and sis..don't change your minds ha? It's all written in black and white in the blog ..so no turning back! hahahahh!!

New TV Series

I like television series, maybe if we have a cable TV here, I would be glued to my favorite series again. Just a few nights ago, my Hubby discovered a site where you can watch movies and tcv programs for free! I got so excited and watched episode 3 of my favorite series.

In the US, another TV series is coming on June 1st and I'm sure a lot of people will be glued in their sets again. It's USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight starring Mary McCormack as Mary Shannon, a U.S. Marshal attached to the highly secretive Federal Witness Protection Program. Mary Shannon protects witnesses and help facilitate their often rocky transition into their new lives. She has to wear many hats at any given time: mother, therapist, best friend, maid of honor, priest, rabbi, occasionally, homicide detective among others. And the worst part is her family doesn't really know the true nature of her high risk job as she kept it as a secret to protect them.

Well, I could relate to Mary..I mean the 'wearing many hats' part :). As of now, I'm a mom, a wife, a teacher, cook, a nutritionist, an accountant, a washer, among other roles to my family. It's good that I don't have any other high risk job that has to be kept as a secret from them. :)

Anyways, if you're from US. Check this series out and make sure to watch the very first episode on June 1st. As for me, I'll just have to wait for this to be available in cable or DVDs.

My Domain Problem

Oh...I'm so sad and a little bit frustrated already..On May 10, after much consideration, I finally bought a domain. After two days of waiting, the domain tha I bought wasn't working. So, I contacted my domain provider and they said there's an error when I bought it.And they refunded me.. THen, on May 13, I tried again and bought the same domain..and still the same after many days of waiting. Nothing happened, my custom domain still isn't working. I've been contacting google and Go Daddy about my problem and we've been exchanging quite a number of emails already but still my domain isn't working. Haaayyy......

Maybe I should just stay in my blogspot URL? What do you think? I'm losing hope now..:) Or maybe I should wait and be more patient and hope that this custom domain problem of mine gets fixed. As they said, patience is a virtue and I'll keep on contacting google aps and Go Daddy and wait till this gets fixed. Then, when my custom domain is ups, I'm sure to celebrate!!

The Pants Story

240x180

If my pants have mouth to talk, I'm sure they'll be complaining right now and would want to have a break. This is the real life story of my pants.

Their day would usually start not so early in the morning since the owner sleep late at night. But as soon as their day starts, it'll be a whirlwind of activities and noise. First stop will be the dining area where they will witness the owner feeding her kids. And oh, there'll be some cereal or milk spills on them but that's fine. And after breakfast, it'll be time to bathe the kids. With this, they'll really get wet a little bit and shiver from the cold. They can only rest a bit when it's time for the baby to sleep and for the older child to study. But when the baby wakes up, it'll be playtime! They'll surely get tickled when the baby tries to bite on the owners leg since he's teething. But they enjoyed being tickled. Then, comes cooking time, eating time, laundry time and etc. All these they witnesses and in between they get wet, soiled, spilled on, creased and etc. They just couldn't wait for night time to come when the owner takes them off and put them in the laundry basket to sleep for the night and have a good bath the next day. :)

That's my Dockers pants story. What about yours? Do you have your own pants stories to tell? Then, better join the Dockers contest . Submit your stories as videos to Dockers contest and win a fabulous prizes! It's so easy to join!

Home School Challenges

Since I've started to teach my daughter how to read and with the 'ban' of cartoons and TV during the the weekdays, I've been motivated to seriously do homeschooling for her this year. So, a few days ago, I made a schedule for her and posted it on the fridge. The schedule includes the subjects for her to study and the activities she'll do daily. Then, I started to search in the internet different activities and worksheets for each subject. I really found a lot of resources. I already envisioned an enthusiastic student and energetic mother for the next few days.

But today, I found out that for all those schedules to be done, I need more preparation, more patience and more energy. I couldn't explain but I just feel so tired for the past two days. I guess my kids are just getting more active or am I getting older and weaker? hahaha!! Anyways, I'll just put off the homeschooling shcedule for next week and I'll just do a bit more preparation and exercise ( for me to be more energized) LOL!

On the other hand, our 20 minute daily reading lesson with Tricia has been going very well. She can now read..as in read..not memorize or guess the words..it's amazing..but her reading is still limited to few words. Today she read a sentence from the book. Sam is mad at me. and we're just in Day 17.. there are still 83 more days to go before we finish the program. I can't wait!

Of Brad Pitt, Dockers and more

I'm a great fan of Brad Pitt. He's a very talented actor and not to mention he's very good looking too. No matter what he wears, he still looks great but I especially like him in his classic, casual look. I think that's more like his fashion style - classic.

For me, I also like the classic fashion style. Gone are the days when I would wear hand painted , torn jeans and large printed shirts as what the trend dictated, a hundred years ago..oh, not that long though, maybe 15 years ago. As a Mom and wife now, I'd stick to clean, classic fashion style. It fits me more, very comfortable and pleasing to the eyes. Just like all the Dockers products - classic, comfortable yet trendy but not clamoring for so much of attention. I remember when I used to work as a visual merchandiser before, I really love to visit and linger longer in the Dockers flagship stores. The clean styles, cut and soft colors are so refreshing and pleasing.

What about you? What your's personal fashion style? Dockers would love to hear from you too and is giving everyone an opportunity to create an advertisement for them. If you're in the creative side, why don't you try it out and join. If you win the Dockers contest, you'll get a chance to show your 'work' to the millions of viewers worldwide. Come on don't be shy and join the Dockers contest !

My Husband, the father of my two beautiful kids, he's such a loving father who cares for his family so much. He's a very expressive and affectionate Appa (father in Tamil) and I think that's what my Li'l girl got from him, who's always expressing her ' i love u', thank u's, I miss u's and showering you with kisses. Just today, Father and daughter both came home bringing flowers for me. It really made my day after a long tiring day with a cranky baby.

What I appreciate much from him especially in these times where I think I'm in the stage of becoming a 'burnt out' mom is that he helps me out so much in taking care of the kids and in the house. He also values my opinion so much and never fails to appreciate me in every way. He's just a perfect Husband for me and a perfect father for my kids. That's why, I'm always grateful to God for this wonderful gift in my life. He's more than what I wanted and more than what I deserve.. :) Thank you Lord!

OKAY, THAT's ALL FOR NOW..TILL the NExt TAGGY DAY! good nyt!!

Shocking Price!

I saw this 'banner' from a home furniture shop in the city today. I don't know, what they meant by the 'shocking price'. Was it because the price was too cheap or too expensive? Because if you ask me, prices have really increased tremendously these days.

I've heard and read about the price increase of rice and other staple commodities in the Philippines and even here in Thailand but somehow it didn't sink in me until today. I really thought that there was a price increase but maybe something like 5-10 baht difference. But I was proven wrong.

We went to Carrefour today to do our monthly grocery and I was 'shocked' with the price increase where my Hubby will have to tell me from time to time, " It's okay..don't get too shocked!" Hahahha!

Here is a sample of the list of things that I used to buy and the price increase:

Rice
Before- 70 baht for 5 kilos
Now - 149 Baht for 5 kilos

Butter
Before- 45 Baht
Now- 75 Baht

Eggs ( 10 pcs)
Before- 38 Baht
Now - 50 Baht

Brown Sugar
Before- 22 Baht
Now- 32 Baht

RefinedSugar
Before 15 Baht
Now 23 Baht

Whew!!! Looking at the prices will really make you sweat..heheh! And not to mention that the gasoline price has also soared to 39.8 Baht per liter...I remember that was only 23 Baht a few years ago. I wonder how much it is now in the Philippines.

The prices has just increased at the twinkling of an eye...tsk..tsk..tsk...sometimes, when there's a crises like this we tend to think and worry a lot...what would the future bring, how we're going to live if the prices increase will go on and all the other thoughts...but as I think about these, I'm also reminded of what Jesus said,

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:26-34

7 months old!

My baby is 7 months old now!! He can now walk holding something..and cruise around his crib.

A few days ago, I was so happy because we hear his first word which was "Amma!" That's me, Amma is the tamil word for Mother...I was ecstatic when I heard that his first word was me..but then..while he kept saying and calling.."Amma...amma"..but his face was directed towards his Appa!..hahahaha!! He was actually calling his Appa, "Amma!" but anyways, I'm still happy at least it was my name he blurted out first.:) In due time he'll be able to associate "amma" with me and "appa" for my Hubby. ;)

GReat Gift Ideas

Father's Day is just around the corner, and I'm sure all the moms and kids are already looking great gift ideas for their dads and spouses. I always struggle when it comes to giving gifts to my Hubby, I always end up giving the usuals stuff like shirts, pants or socks. I'm not that so creative when it comes to buying gifts as I'd rather create gifts.

What about give him a car or a new laptop? hahaha! I'm just kidding! Of course, I can't afford to buy such gifts. I want to give him something more personal and at the same time very useful. I found some Personalized flash drives for sale in the web. Wouldn't that be a great idea? I only know about personalized pens but now there is such things as personalized thumb drives where their names are engraved along with a short message. Cool huh!

Anyways, there still a bit more time before the day. What about you do you want to share any great gift ideas?

Cartoonless Days

Today is Day 3 of our 'Cartoonless' Weekdays in the house. Yes, I finally decided to put a stop on my Li'l girl's daily cartoon watching. I should say she has been quite addicted to cartoons lately. FOr the past weeks, everytime she wakes up her first question will be , ' Can I watch cartoons now?' and so I have explain to her her sked for the day ( breakfast, reading lesson, activities, cartoons, lunch, play , nap..) but still in between, she'll be asking and insisting to watch Little Einsteins ( her fave for now).

The final blow came when we were doing our reading lesson and she wasn't concentrating at all. Her mind was like wandering. So, I thought that maybe she's just tired and I went on teaching my 'bored' student. But right after I said, "okay, we're done!". She was so excited and asked, 'Can I watch Little Einsteins now?' . Aha!! That's why she wasnt' concentrating! All along her mind has been on her cartoons. I got annoyed by her being so into her cartoons and I think her 'obsession' for it has gone quite far. Thus, I decided to let her watch only on weekends.

So far, her cartoonless days has been good. I think her days now are more productive. Her concentration is better for our lessons, she has more time to do her activity books and play with her toys. THough there are times she's so restless and that's when I have to create something for her to do. But still from time to time ( I think when she remembers her cartoons) she asks, "When is Saturday coming". Hahahha! That also gave me an idea to teach her the 7 days of the week.

Anyways, I'm glad of this decision. It seemed cruel at first but I'm sure she'll get use to it and it'll make her weekends more enjoyable.

I was laughing the first time I saw this cartoon because at that time my laundry was really a LOT and overflowing..almost like the drawing above! LOL!! And then after I washed all our laundry and then another mountain appeared...the mountain of clothes to be folded. WHew!

I just folded all our mountain of clothes now..so, it's such a relief.. I didn't realize how another addition of the family can change your laundry dramatically. I can't imagine families with 4 or 5 kids..wow! I salute those moms with a lot of kids.

Free..Free..Free!

As full time mom and housewife, I always look out for free offers whether it's services or goods. I always have this sense of satisfaction when I get something for free and especially when it's really a great offer.

I'm sure this is not just common interest for the homemakers but for those in the business as well especially in these hard times. Well, I just found a great offer for those in the business that bills for its services, performs project oriented work or tracks absences for a workforce. It's a free Online Time and Expense software program called Journyx Timesheet. It'll surely solve your headache in the business especially in managing timesheets and expenses. Read the Timesheet success stories and you'll see for yourself how these reputable companies benefited from it. And the best thing is, the same software program is being offered to YOU!

Letting Go..

I've been in the mood to do a bit of organizing lately and my first project is organizing our closet. Our closet has been overflowing with clothes. Not that we have so much of clothes but because we have a small closet. So you could imagine a messy closet no matter how I want to fold our clothes neatly.

So this afternoon, I decided to sort out our clothes and take out all the clothes that we don't wear often and give it away. I've read somewhere that if you don't use an item once in months, then better take it out. So, that's what I just did. So off went my clothes that I seldom wear. Off went my favorite Levi's jeans which I've been waiting to wear. I gave up the thought that 'maybe someday I could still wear them' since I've gained so much of weight after my 2nd pregnancy. Off went my Hubby's shirts that easily gets crumpled which takes so much time to iron. Off went my favorite blouses that shows all the curves or rather bulges...so, I let go of all these things..and I felt lighter afterwards..or rather the closet feels lighter.. :)

What Happened to www.lalainesworld.com?

I also don't know. :(

If you've been here a few hours ago, you could have found an error message that says " site can not be found'.

This is because a few days ago, I bought the domain www.lalainesworld.com through blogger. I registered, paid through credit card, verified but my domain is nowhere to be found. I contacted googles apps, they replied and said everything is activated. But why I can't access my custom domain at all? It was still okay because at least my blog could be accessed through blogspot but then last night, my blogger blog is automatically redirected to my custom domain that doesn't work! That's when I got really worried and contacted google aps again. But sad to say, until now I haven't received anything from them.

The reason you why you can still read this blog is because I switched it back to blogspot. I was tempted to continue setting in the custom domain so that google aps will know that my custom domain is'nt working at all..but, I also don't want my readers to get lost.

I just hope the domain problem will be fixed soon.

Children are Precious

My precious Li'l One has just turned 7 months old. Time indeed flies so fast huh? Here he is..he's such a cutee and of course it's me , the Mom talking..but I'm sure you'll agree with me, right?...hheheehe!

Children are such a blessing in life. There will just be nights when you'll just end up staring at these precious Li'l ones and thank God for giving them in our lives.

Just this evening, our friends and I were just having a discussion about children and how precious they are., not just our children but all the kids in general. They (two of our family friends) just adopted two homeless boys. It's just so heartbreaking to hear all boys' stories, how they get abused, beaten up in the streets and all of them looking for a place to sleep at night. One of the boys is barely 10 years old. He's small in sized, has that cheerful countenance but his body is just full of scars and some bones seem out of place. and As a mother, I can't imagine what he has gone through and I would never want that to happen to my kids. It's just sad.

I thank God for our friends who adopted 2 of the boys. They literally took care of them, taught them and loved them. I realized that it takes great commitment, it takes great love to do all these to the kids who are not their own. I'm blessed by their lives. I'm blessed and at the same time their commitment and love left an imprint in my heart, of how far could I go showing them that there's Someone who loves them and cares for them.

There are a lot of them there out in the streets and as of now, all I could do is to pray that God will protect them and preserve their innocent lives.

Homecoming 2008

I'm so excited! I looked at the calendar and it'll just be a few months away before we go back to my beloved country. We already made many plans of the things we'll be doing while we're there and with all these plans, I also realized that we need extra cash and start saving.

One of the ways, I thought about to make money is through my blog. I'm so much into blogging now and I'm glad that I could earn through this. Now, I've just joined Bloggerwave and I hope through this, we could save up for our homecoming in the Philippines.

The Reading Challenge

My Li'l girl just turned 4 years old and is so ready to go to school. Since we are in a country that doesn't use English as the primary language, we're quite in a dilemma regarding our girl's education. We've decided not to send her to a local school since all subjects will be in Thai and the bilingual schools and international schools are also expensive. So far our only choice for now would be homeschooling. If given a choice I would want to send her to a normal school but as for now, we'll have to settle with home schooling.

So, as a start I'm using this book given to me by my friend, Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons by Siegfried Engelmann. I've just started with my li'l girl and I'm quite impressed with the book. It's very easy; no flashcards, colorful materials nor other things needed but just the book , a pencil and a paper and that's it. Not only my daughter enjoys the lessons but the teacher (that's me) as well. I just literally have to open the book, follow or read aloud what's written on it and each lesson will be done in 20 minutes max. Just enough time before my li'l girl becomes restless.

We're just in Day 4 and 3 letters were already introduced (letters m, s and a) and with these 3 letters she can already read 2 letter words like 'am' and 'ma'. I'm excited about this. Another 97 days and she's sure to read. My friend's children learned to read through this book, that's why she highly recommends it. I just have to be consistent in giving her 20 minutes of my time everyday. Then, I hope by September my li'l girl can already read.

Happy Mother's Day

I didn't realize that it's Mother's Day today until in the evening. We didn't do anything special for this occasion since we were busy for my daughter's birthday celebration. We all had a great time especially my daughter. It's the day that she's been waiting for weeks and finally it has come. She truly had fun!

This morning, I was decorating her birthday cake and I putting all her favorites ; cherries, tinkerbell doll and all the colorful stuff on the cake. She was saying, her cake is nice and she liked it so much. Then I felt her kiss my arm and said, " I love you, Amma!". She just melted my heart. I love the way she appreciated what I've done for her and she expressed it well. That gesture is surely worth more than silver and gold and made my day complete.

Anyways, if your interested to know the happenings for her party, then please read My Li'l Princess' Diary.

Happy Mother's Day to all Mommies and thank you for those who greeted me as well. I would especially like to thank Ruby for creating this template for me and including me as one of the 3 Influential Mommies in her Life. Wow! I didn't know that I am..Thank you so much Ruby. I count this as another Mother's Day bonus for me.

Have a blessed week ahead!!

Vaccine Day

Today turned out to be 'vaccine day' for our kids. We went to the hospital in the morning to have Lyle's 6 in 1 vaccine. While waiting for his turn, I was just looking at Tricia's appointment book and discovered that she is also scheduled to be immunized on Monday. So, we asked the nurse if she can have it today and she agreed. Tricia was a bit surprised why she also needs to have her vaccine while we were only there for Lyle's one. So calmly, slowly and thoroughly we had to explain to her why. She was very hesistant at first as she had a bad experience last year (the nurse had to insert the needle in her arm twice as she jerked the first time and the needle wasn't properly positioned) but finally she got convinced.

It was a long wait for us at the hospital because it was just crowded. It's public holiday today here so maybe that explains the crowd. When finally, it was time for our kids' jab , of course there was crying and squealing. It was a pitiful sight.

Next vaccine appointment will be in July and it's still going to for both of them. :)

World's Greatest Mom

It's been quite sometime since I've posted some tags and awards here. But there's this award that I just received from Janet and Lena. I couldn't help to post in and pass it to two very, very special people in my life and my HUbby's life. It's the World's Greatest Mom Award. Thank Janet and Lena for passing this award to me!

Now I want to give this award to none other than my Nanay (who's not a blogger but a loyal reader of my blog ) and Amma ( my Hubby's Mom). They are both the World's greatest Mom for us.

For my Nanay, thank you so much Nay for everything you've done for all of us. I'm so thankful to God for giving you as my Nanay. I'm extremely blessed and I couldn't ask for anything more. You gave us your love, you took care of us, raised us well, prayed for us, encouraged us and gave us life. Happy Mother's day Nay !

For Amma , I admire your courage, your strength and faith in God. I couldn't imagine how you've raised up four great children by yourself but you did. Thank you for such love and sacrifice.

For Nanay and Amma, you're such a great blessing to us and I hope that in the future I could be the kind of mother you've been to us! Advance Happy Mother's Day!! We Love you so much!

Weighty Issues

I could really feel I've gain a lot of weight since our break in Malaysia. Well, who couldn't resist all the original , yummy chicken curry, roti, nasi lemak plus all the pizzas, cakes and burgers (YUM!). Yeah, we really ate our hearts out for the last 3 weeks. Now that we're back home, my Hubby and I made a pact to eat only healthy and nutritious food and do some exercise. Let's see if this pact will last long. :)

For me, I still have a lot of weight to lose (due to my previous pregnancy and overeating, hehehe!) and as much as possible I would want to have a fast weight loss. I know that I must have a consistent exercise routine plus a sensible, nutritious diet. These two factors are the most important things to a new lifestyle of health and fitness whether you have 20 or 200 pounds to lose. Well I just hope that I'll be consistent enough and well motivated to achieve my goal to lose some weight. All the best to me!

Home Sweet Home

We're all back home now. We've been away for three weeks and it seemed like a very long time. Though it was quite tiring but it was indeed a blessed trip. We spent some quality time with friends and family, some whom we haven't seen for a long time. I just didn't enjoy the time spent with them but also the food as well. Yes, all my ' food desires' had been granted too. We were able to eat all my favorite food and some my favorite shops. Our Li'l girl enjoyed the trip most, she was so happy to meet of lot of friends 'who can speak English'. Our boy had a grand time too, he has been carried, cuddled, kissed and hugged by everyone but it seems he likes it since he didn't complain at all. As for my Hubby, you don't have to ask him if he enjoyed his stay at his homecountry, you just need to look at him and you'll see the proof..heheheh! Some of our friends here said, that he did gain some weight ( I think I gained a lot too). Yeah, imagine all the Indian Curry was flooding in Teluk Gadong, Klang and Pokok Assam Taiping!! Hahahah!!

Anyways, we're all settling back in our normal routine now but at the same time preparing for our Li'l girl's 4th birthday. We're planning to have a small party for the kids her age. We had other plans for her birthday but she requested to a party with her friends, well who couldn't resist that? hehehe!! I'll blog more on that later or maybe in Tricia's blog soon.

Have a great night to ALL!

Home Improvement 101

We really need to fix quite a number of things here in our house now. Our bedside lamp and our daughter's lamps are not working again. So, here I am typing and blogging in the dark with the laptop screen glaring at me. I can't turn on our main light too since our baby is sleeping and he can't sleep with the main light on. I'm not sure if our lamps are broken or we just need to replace the bulb, but I hope for sure that this will all be fixed by tomorrow.

Speaking of lamps and lights, I just went through a site with such a number of beautiful lamps. I don't know, but I just love to look at lamps. Whenever I'm in a furniture shop or home improvement shop, I never miss to linger at the lighting section and especially look at the contemporary lighting area which has beautiful high tech lighting designs. As I've learned in my Interior Design subjects, lighting indeed plays a vital role in the over all design of the space and not just the lighting fixture per se. Back to the site I've visited, they just don't have a variety of lighting fixtures and options available but also some fans specially by Minka Aire.

The Big Bang

*Start Copy Here*

You do not have to be tagged to play along. This game is simple and so are the rules.

1. Copy from *Start Copy Here* through *End Copy Here*

2. Add your site(s) to the list. Just be sure to post the "Big Bang" at each site you add.

3. Tag or don’t tag, your choice, however, the more tags you create the longer the list will grow.

4. Let me know your blog’s name and url by leaving me a comment HERE. I will add you to the master list. (If you would like a scroll box code, leave me your email address and I will email it to you.) Scroll Box Example. (I decided not to use the box for the Big Bang for ease of copying.)

5. Come back and copy the master list back to your site, often. This process will allow late-comers to get as much link benefit as the first ones in. Once you are on the master list people who have participated earlier will update their bookmarks and help everyone lower than them out on the list.
